Book VS E-Reader: Which is best?

I only recently purchased an e-reader. I got a crazy good deal on a Kobo Glo. For the longest time, I wouldn't even consider purchasing one. My main argument was that I really preferred reading an actual book. Which is better?

I like them both. It was nothing for me to be sitting somewhere and pull a book out of my purse. I always had a book with me if my purse was big enough to hold it. My e-reader is just the same size dimension wise (not thickness of a book of course)

The e-reader is great.. it's very portable and I can store more than one book on it at a time. I am one of those people who normally have anywhere from 1 - 4 books on the go. I blame my short attention span.

But there is just something about opening up a brand new book, cover not cracked.. or picking up an old classic and the smell of the book.. there's just something about it I love

So which do you prefer? Book... or E-reader?
I am not convinced one is really that much better than the other. I am still holding on to both.

Currently Reading: Fatally Frosted by Jessica Beck

I'm currently reading this 2nd installment in the Donut Shop Mystery Series.
Again the main character finds herself with a murder investigation. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this second book I am finding much more interesting than the first. Perhaps it is that the characters are now established as are their stories, but the story seems to flow much better in this book. With this read, I picked up the book and before I knew it I was halfway through in no time! I am still enjoying the recipes in between chapters, it's a cute idea and I've found some I would actually love to try! I will do a proper review once I am finished the entire book. For now, I am going to look for books to read that are out of my normal scope. 2014 will be filled with new authors, new books and new challenges.
What are you reading today?

A New Beginning

My name is Katie, welcome to my reading corner! I love to read, I always have. As a child, I learned to read when I was 3 years old, and have been pouring through books ever since. The past few years, I have really gotten away from reading and it's time for a change. My resolution for 2014 is to resurrect my love of reading and expand my circle of favourite books and authors. Please, feel free to join me on my journey. We can read the same books, talk about and write reviews, and maybe even find new genres to explore.

My new home on the interwebs will be set up all cozy soon so in the meantime pull up a nice comfy chair, grab a cuppa your favourite drink and delve into a new book!
